The Secret Garden
The lake was sloshing,
making calming sounds.
The willows dancing in the wind.
The vines waving their welcome.
The Secret Garden was a place for peace.

I run up the spiral stair case, dad just behind me.I reach the top. Dad was waiting for me to slip off.
"Er, dad you can go first."
"No."
"Yes",I said.
"Fine",he growled.
I wait until hes out.In a flash hes out!I step on to the slide gripping the steel bars.I let go.

Darkness appeared right in front of me. My stomach clenched.I wanted to be out but that would be impossible! Something wanted to be go out of my mouth,it was vomit.I started to panic!Light appeared.Water crashing! I crashed straight in!

My head bobbed out of the water.I was in... THE LAZY RIVER! 
"Thank goodness that was over!"

Me, Monika and Lulu decided to make this Tinkercad Bridge - its a truss bridge.Its strength is the triangle because when you put something on top the force pushes it down and then it goes straight so it doesn't bend or break. without the triangles it will bend and break because the triangles are the support!!We also put some supports under it so it can stand up!!

 I slipped into the carriage, hiding in my seat, afraid to go out! I jumped as I saw a pale lady sitting next to me. I opened my mouth to speak but just blurted out "Who are you".
She stared at me and said "Do you know the feeling of emptiness"? 
I dont answer. A few moments later I said "Ye Ye Ye Yes"!

THE CAT CAFE!!!!

It's about time we got our breakfast.The hot chocolate was warm,a cocoa cat face was swirling in the drink.Little marshmallows,pink then white, were bobbing in the warmth.Mew came from the other side I waited for everyone to stop eating.
"Can we go and see the cats now?" 
"No its not time yet."
"Nooooo!"
The clock struck 10, it was about time we got to see the cats.

Some cats were sleeping,climbing,jumping, and scratching!Excitement was running through me.
"Mom I prefer wild cats more", I said in a soft voice.
"Oh", said Nan."This is AWESOME"!
1,2,3 a cat leaped up on to a bridge,just a tail length below the roof!I was shocked to see a cat do that!A white covered kitten was standing there,it's clear blue eyes gazing at me.The cat that leaped to the bridge came up to the white kitten, I  could see it was a she-cat caring for the kitten.The board said the kitten's name,Cloud.
"Cute, look clouds sleeping".
"Who's Cloud", said Danika?
"It's the white kitten."
We slowly walked out ready to leave.

I slowly begin to try and I couldn't. I just couldn't give Sky spinach. So I went to the other chickens. I gave them the spinach.

I looked in the book and chanted "Whispers of the night break the heart who chime", I chanted and transformed into a witch!
"MHA HA HA HA"!

Why are the bites itchy?

                              Bee Stings


 A bee sting is like poison slipping into your body. It will stay attached to you, dead, or fly away to it's final resting place. You might be wondering why bees sting they sting because they are afraid of you.

A bee sting is very dangerous a adult can be stung 1000 times and then die but a child can be stung 500 times before dying. Some stings aren't as painful then others. The venom doesn't come from the bees blood but is in  a sack, if you scratch or clap it the venom will spread in your body... um... maybe I went to far.

This is a easy way to stay safe. If you see a bee don't wave your arms in the air and scream or it may sting you. If it stings try not to scratch it or push it because it will spread the poison in other parts of your body. So if you have a child please help them. 

Why the sting hurts. The sting hurts because there are chemicals in the sack and then t starts to burning because of the chemicals traveling in your body.

A hurricane is an intense tropical storm. Other names for a hurricane is a cyclone, typhoon and tropical storm. Hurricanes are extremely dangerous and the flood they cause are really bad.

Hurricanes form around warm oceans and tropical areas. Hurricanes use warm water as an energy source which means they only form in summer. They lose strength as they go on land. They happen between June and November in the Northern hemisphere.

The eye of the storm is between 3.2 kilometres in diameter to 320 kilometres but are usually about 48 kms. The weather around the eye is calm but the weather is mad maybe even crazy, around the eye. Do not even try to go near the eye because you're probably going to die  because of the strong winds, rain and waves around the eye.

Hurricanes can be found in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. Did you know that hurricanes can be tracked by by weather satellites and radars closer to land. Hurricanes  has been around for hundreds of years and every city it hit it killed a lot of people and caused a lot of damage. Hurricane Katrina killed over 1800 people, leaving no sorry for all the damage it has done, Hurricane Katrina was in the United States.

 How you can be safe around a hurricane  is to get to high grounds.  Make sure you have all you're expensive things, pets and electrical things. Try to get a lot of food before the hurricane hits.

   Gas is something you can't feel or see.

   Liquid is something that can flow,drink and feel.

   Solid is something that's really hard like bricks, ice and humans! 

   Gas can turn to a liquid a cloud can do that it gets water and the      sun heats it and it makes it to heavy so it gives you liquid.

   Solids can turn into a liquid like ice the sun melts it and it can        make a liquid.

   Water can turn into gas if you heat water in a pot it will make the    water boil which can turn into a gas.

 Oil pastels 
 Canvas 
 Hair dryer
 Hot glue gun

How the experiment works
Step 1: Glue the oil pastels to the canvas.
Step 2: Use the hair dryer to melt the oil pastels.
Step 3: Watch how the oil pastels melt in to a liquid
The oil pastels are solid but if you use a hair dryer to melt it the oil pastels turn into a liquid but it will dry on the canvas to make a rainbow of you use a lot of oil pastels on one canvas!   

The big race (not a real story)

 I hit the ground,I try to go in front. "I didn't train for this!"Mud splatter on me, i want it off but at the same time i want to win the race."Almost there", i said in my head. Mum yelled" Go go go you can win!I believe in you!"The world starts to faint into darkness. Suddenly I fell right on the spot.I woke up not knowing where I am.The world came into focus,I wasn't on the grass,I wasn't at school, I was at a hospital",I said in my head!I have a lot of questions to ask my mum.My first question was "Did i win the race and where am I!"Mum said "You didn't win the race and you fainted!"

My trip to Zieta Park

There was muddy grass along the path and flowers with a huge sign. It said "welcome to Zieta Park."We look around and I found a blue slide, the colour reminding me of the sky. A path led to the top of the slide! The water was streaming down and it was as cold as ice! It was as high as a mountain! I went down as I went up I tumbled down and down! I screamed and yelled "help i need help!"Finally I stopped. I was relieved and I put my hand on my head. Blood was trickling down my back!

Molly is a white,pinkish with long hair dog. She has crystal clear blue eyes. Her paws are as soft as clouds.I know what's a pink dog? There is nothing like that! My grandpa said "she was experimented on"! Wow, what a grandpaish thing to say.

I loved going in her very big brown dog house. I slept on the orange flowery pillows and played and read stories to her. When I slept she came in the house I would cuddle her. I loved it because it was soft, and dark! 

She was a cute dog and she loved meat and candy-yummy! I gave her the candy of course! She loved it! Even if it was bad for her!

Social Bees VS Solitary Bees

     

        Social Bees include Honey Bees and Bumble Bees.They are usually known to make honey and wax within their hive.These bees sting when  they feel their hive is in danger however because their stinger is barbed it is left behind and the bee dies after stinging.these beautiful bees live in a hive witch is ruled by a Queen bee.

                   

    Solitary Bee include Leafcutter Bees,Digger Bees,Carpenter Bees,and Mason Bees among the many.These Bees live alone and do not swarm.They rarely sting and are not aggresive making them safe around kids and pets.They do not live in collinies, do not live in a hive and are not ruled by a Queen.

The time I was sick (when I was 3 or 2)

 

I walk through the hall suddenly something came out of my mouth!It looks like poo but it's not it's vomit!I scream my mum  comes,she asks "what happened are you ok"? I said "I think so"!I eat,I go to get dressed but instead  something came out of my mouth,it was vomit again!

I go to the hospital!I feel the pain when the needle pokes through me!The doctor gives me medicine,I vomited in my mouth,as I try to keep it in,I could not keep it in so I vomited in the doctors office!I don't like being sick at all! I go to my room in the hospital!I get teddies and presents!But I hate it I say to myself I hate it,I hate it

                                        My Grandma

Today I am at home, my Grandma is visiting soon, my Grandma is very nice, she lets us do what ever we want! She loves arts and crafts and we do too! I cant wait until she comes, she comes in one week. She lives in SA! She is visiting for 3 weeks!

She is good at every thing, such as arts and crafts.Do you know that she teaches elderly people to make crafts?She is a great Grandma!My Grandma always has a smile,she's a a great Grandma, a really great Grandma!Her name is Lynette she has blue eyes and we do too.She always wears flowers or owl clothes 

When my Dad was little he had a pet cat. My Grandma loved the cat but they did not know that he was allergic to cats.This is what happen. My Dad could not hear anything so they took him to the doctor. The doctor said that my Dad was allergic to cats!So,they got a dog but when my dad married my mum, my Grandma also loved the dog. I did too but the dog died!

When we were in SA we did lots of arts and crafts and watched lots of TV!At her work everyone says she's so good she always calls us bokkie! She says "come here bokkie" or says "come here honey"!I love my grandma

Swimming

The silvery sea, blinds me by it's crystal clear water. As I swim, it gets colder and colder. I freeze as I swim! 

The next day at  school during swimming it gets cold but I do not care. Next thing I know, it was the test to see if I can pass level 2! 

The next day swimming was over for the year. We get our certificates. As I look to see if I passed, my mum gives  me a hug. I look at it again, I see that I passed I yell "yay".  I passed level 2!

I need to work on  Questioning and taking responsibility by practising my maths learning at home.  
I  do not have to be told the whole time what to do but sometimes I  need  to be reminded what to do.

I do not need to be told when I need to just my learning muscles but I do need sometimes to be reminded.

I am good with finishing my work on time.I do need to be reminded because I sometimes forget - home learning.I can not plan my week but I can plan my day. And that's why I think I am a self regulated learner!So I looked to the board and I seed that I am a Self Regulated Learner!
